私、家事の中やったら(だったら)お洗濯が一番好きやねん(なんだ)。洗濯機に放り込んで、後は干すだけやけどな(だけどね)。うちは洗濯物、ジーンズ以外は大体全部洗濯ネットに入れるで(よ)。そうそう、ゴミ取りって日本以外にはないねんてな(ないんだってね)。小さなネットを洗濯機の中のドラムの側面に付けたり、ビニール風船に付けて浮かばせたりして水中のゴミ取んねん(取るんだ)。もし「うっとこ(うち)の国にもそんなんあんで(そういうのあるよ)」って方がいてはったら(いらっしゃったら)、コメントちょうだいや(よ)〜
Of all the household chores that I have to be done I like doing the laundry the best. Just you put the laundry in the washing machine and hang it out. That’s it, though. We wash almost all the laundry except jeans in laundry net. Oh, we use small net bags to get rid of lint in Japan but you don’t in countries outside Japan, do you? We put a small net bag on the wall of the drum, or set one with a ballon afloat to get rid of lint and dust in the water. In one corner was a blank canvas on an easel that had been waiting there for twenty-five years to receive the first line of the masterpiece. ベーアマン老人は、赤い目をうるませつつ、そんなばかばかしい想像に、軽蔑と嘲笑の大声を上げたのです。
Old Behrman, with his red eyes, plainly streaming, shouted his contempt and derision for such idiotic imaginings.
「なんだら！」とベーアマンは叫びました。「いったいぜんたい、葉っぱが、けしからんつたから散るから死ぬなんたら、ばかなこと考えている人がいるのか。そんなのは聞いたこともないぞ。あほ隠居ののろまのモデールなんかやらんぞ。何でらそんなんたらつまらんことをあの子のあたまに考えさせるんだら。あのかわいそうなかわいいヨーンジーに」

ベーアマンさんって、どこの訛りやろ(だろ)･･･ わかれへんし(わからないから)、めっちゃ適当にしゃべったった(てしまった)〜 ゴメン。
英語にはにおいを表す単語がぎょうさん(たくさん)あって使い分けてるみたいやけど(だけど)、日本語の名詞で代表的なん(なの)は「香り(kaori)」”scent” と「におい(nioi)」”smell” の2つだけ。
「香り」はいい匂いに使って｢におい｣はいい匂いにも悪い臭いも使うねん(んだ)。
あと、「くさみ(kusami)」は悪い臭いで、名詞に付ける｢臭(shuu)｣も悪いにおいやな(だね)。
いつからか「加齢臭(karei shu)」って言葉、よお(よく)耳にするけど、ウィキペディアによると、『中高年特有の体臭の俗称で、2000年に資生堂が付けた名称』”It’s a commonly used term describing the middle aged and older’s characteristic body odor. It was named by Shiseido, a major Japanese hair care and cosmetics producer.” やって(だって)。知らん(知らな)かった〜
そやけど(だけど)昔に比べて、日本人はにおいに神経質すぎる気がすんな(するな)。
確かに「芳しい(kaguwashii)」花の香り ”sweet-smelling flowers” の方がエエけどな(いいけどさ)。
では最後に美しい日本語を一つご紹介しましょう。
芳しい初夏の風を「薫風(kunpuu)」“fragrant breeze” 言うて(と言って)、俳句の季語“a season word of haiku”にもなってんねん(るんだ)。そやけど(だけど)初夏、風薫るん(の)は5月やけど(だけど)ね。
